Santa 2016 & Jingle Jam

After getting home from Abilene, our Christmas festivities continued on.  We got home & got the girls changed into their Christmas dresses & headed up to the church to help with our church's Angel Tree program & to meet Santa.  I love that my girls have their Santa picture made each year with our special Santa from church.

Let's start with the fact that everyone was proving to be in good moods & they were in their Christmas dresses.  I decided to go ahead and get "Christmas morning" pictures in their dresses. Yes, it was a week early, but honestly I knew Christmas morning would be a craze and I wasn't sure they'd be in as good of moods, so "win" for getting them done early:

Standing didn't go as good as sitting, but we tried.

And for nostalgia purposes.... here's last year.  Look how little they all were-- especially Chantz:

Then off to see Santa & Mrs. Clause.  Y'all-- best Santa picture to date!  All smiles:

Again... memory lane.  Here they were last year:

As soon as our Angel Tree festivities were over we had Jingle Jam {our Christmas musical}.  Let's just say this year was a complete TURN-AROUND from last year for Kennedie. Do you guys remember Camelot?  Y'all. Kennedie would cry every single practice & wouldn't do a thing.  This year she was living the dream every week at practice & couldn't wait to get on stage to do her thing. Part of me worried she might clam up & struggle, but no. She was AWESOME!  SO proud of her!

Y'all. Did you see her in that video. Living it up!

Sweet girl also got to be a sheep in a skit after:

Cutest sheep I've ever seen!

Then after we got a picture of her signing autographs for everyone:

Such a fun night!  I was so proud of my girl!  Crazy how much difference a year can make!

Christmas in Abilene 2016

The second weekend in December we packed the car up & headed to Abilene to have our annual Christmas get together with Lantz's dad side of the family.  It's always a fun time for all of us & we are so blessed to be related to super fun and genuinely sweet people.  I totally forgot my camera, so Lantz (and Kristal) was the official photographer for the weekend. {Which also meant I actually made it in some pictures! Ha!}  So thankful for smart phones!

The girls had a blast with their cousins & second cousins!  Lantz has the best cousins ever too!  They came up with so many fun and creative things for the kids to do.  They got to have a "paint with a twist" style session & they all ended up with cute ornament paintings, they made a gingerbread house, they played a game where they read a book & passed numbers back and forth to end up with prizes, and then the big kids played the saran wrap ball game.  Us older ones played a few games too- did you see the new Speak Out game with mouth pieces?

We got up early and went to church with Jess {Chantzlyn's birth mom} and then hit up our favorite La Popular for a quick brunch before hitting the road back home.  Of course on the way home we had to make a pit stop at one of our favorite places to enjoy a quick treat:

Christmas Party 2016

The two older girls went with Lantz to a little Christmas party that some of our realtor friends put on. We had planned on going as a family, but poor Preslee had a miserable stomach bug and Chantzlyn was wiped out & needed a nap.  So Lantz took the older girls & they had fun doing some crafts together!

Then the next day the girls worked on an Elf on the Shelf puzzle that Momma Jean gave them.  They were so proud {despite Preslee's frown in the picture}:

Random + Thanksgiving

Here are a few random pictures from the fall:

Kennedie went to a tie dye party for a friend and had a blast!
K is in the navy shirt at bottom

K is far right- birthday girl is far left (full face, not cut off)

K is in the stripes to the right

Finished product-- she was so proud!

We went to Ice at the Gaylord Hotel.  Someone from church had some tickets and they were not able to go, so they were so generous and passed them onto us.  Thank you Brumleys! Lets just say it was cold. And Chantzlyn was OVER it by the time we actually made it through the line & to the cold part.  After a family picture, I just ran through with her & Lantz stayed in a little longer with the older girls.

Chantzlyn decided that she liked baths, and instead of screaming every time we put her in the water she went to all smiles {and screaming when we took her out!}:

We decorated the Christmas tree before we left to go out of town for Thanksgiving.  K & S wanted a picture after, so here they are:

We went to Pampa this year for Thanksgiving to celebrate with Mike, Kristal {Lantz's sister}, Braxton, Cason, and Mikalie.  We had a great time just relaxing and spending time with family.  We went on some walks, enjoyed a few runs, took the girls swimming, went to the gym and played basketball, did some reading, of course did some eating, and just enjoyed hanging out together.  And of course out of all that I only got a few pictures. Boo!  Here are the handful I got:

The girls put cots out on the front porch & enjoyed cuddling up & hanging out.

That's it.   That's all I got. Isn't that pathetic?  We were just having too much fun I guess.

Here are some random shots of the girls that were floating around my photo albums:

It's not so bad being behind on my blogging.... I get a chance to walk down memory lane!  Ha!
