Cupcakes & Lemonade

So we talk about our sweet baby that is growing in our heart all the time.  Our 4th baby is in our conversations constantly and also in our prayers.  When our girls play baby dolls, sometimes they play pretend that their baby is in their belly or came from their belly, and sometimes they play pretend that their baby is in their heart or grew in their heart.  It's always a fun topic in our house!  The girls CAN'T WAIT to be big sisters again.

With all this talk about our baby, the girls get interested.  They were so sweet to ask one day what they could do to help bring our baby home. (This was in the midst of all of our paperwork.) So we decided that we'd let them host a lemonade stand to help raise money for our baby.  Then for fun, we decided to do some baking and make it cupcakes & lemonade.

So, while Lantz was in Nicaragua, the girls and I started baking... and baking.. and baking... and baking.  Ha!  We made 4 different batches of cupcakes.  Each batch made between 18 and 32.  We made lemon cupcakes with lemon cream cheese frosting, almond cupcake with cherry butter cream frosting, chocolate with peanut butter frosting, and french toast cupcakes with maple butter cream frosting.  We made a fancy lemonade to serve alongside.

Luckily, Binky came to town to help us with our big endeavor!  She helped us set up shop and keep everything running smooth.

Here is our pre-lemonade stand picture:

Here are some pictures from our big event:

I wish we had pictures of all of our amazing friends and family that came by to support us.  The turn out was incredible and we felt so blessed by everyone's donations and presence. It was so sweet to watch some of our girls' friends walk up and dump tons of coins into our jar... their Mommies letting me know they dumped out their piggy bank.  Talk about making me cry!  It was one of the sweetest moments I've ever gotten to be apart of.  Again, THANK YOU to everyone who came out to support us!

We are actually currently doing another fundraiser for our adoption right now.  If you'd like to buy a shirt to help us raise money we would so appreciate it.   You can go HERE to order. Here is what the shirt looks like:
Our sweet friend Natalie at Topsy Turvy Print Shop designed the logo for us.  "Choose Hope" has been our heart song through this whole process.  You can read more about our story HERE in any earlier blog post.   And again if you'd like to support us and buy a shirt then click HERE.  Thank you so much!  If anything please keep us, our birth mom, and our baby in your prayers.  Thank you so much!
