Kennedie is 3!

It's crazy to think that my baby girl is 3 years old today.  I believe it though.  You are no longer my little toddler two year old.... you are my little girl 3 year old.  It makes me sad to think how fast time has gone by, but it's also fun to watch you continue to develop into your own self.... and my how I love you!  I decided to interview for your birthday.  Maybe I'll continue to do so every birthday.

An interview with Kennedie Danyelle on her 3rd birthday:

-How old are you?   Three
-What makes you happy?   Paint my toenails
-What is your favorite animal?   Lion {I thought you would have said puppy dogs.}
-What is your favorite thing to eat?  Chicken, broccoli, tomatoes, strawberries {I would have thought you would have said ice cream.... you do like to eat all of those things though.... except tomatoes, you will eat them, but normally with some convincing that you like them.}
-What is your favorite thing to do? Play, run, and laugh {I loved this answer... thought it was so sweet.}
-What is your favorite TV show? Tinkerbell and Curious George {Although Tinkerbell is a movie you  thinks it is a TV show because we watch it on Netflix & don't have to put in a DVD.}
- What are you really good at?    Swinging
- What is your favorite movie?   Mary Poppins, Cinderella, and Grandpa's Magic Toys
-What is your favorite color?    Purple
- What is your favorite song?   Hallelujah Christ Arose and Bless the Lord Oh My Soul
- Who is your best friend?   Bee
- What do you and Mommy do together?   Play baby dolls
-What do you and  Daddy do together?    I color with Daddy
- What is your favorite sport?  Purple ball ??
- Where is your favorite place to go?   Chick-fil-a and Bible class
- What is your favorite book?    Fancy Nancy and Curious George
- What do you want to be when you grow up?  I go to Daddy's work
- What is your favorite Bible verse?  "For God so loved the world so much, that He gave His one and only son."
- What is your favorite toy?   Baby doll...... stroller baby

I completely loved doing this interview with you.  Most of your answers were pretty accurate with what Mommy would have said about you.  Here are a few more fun things about you:

- You love to read books and tell stories.  You will ask us to tell you stories sometimes.  I love it when you say, "Tell me about Moses...."  or  "Tell me a story about Jesus."
- You can pray on your own which is priceless to hear.  I love when you just want to pray with me, or when you'll say the prayer.  So simple and sweet.
You have 9 Bible verses memorized: "God is with you wherever you go." - Josh 1:9  "Nothing can separate us from God's love." Romans 8: 39   "We have the Lord our God to help us and fight our battles for us." 2 Chronicles 32:8  "Two people are better than one.  They can help each other in everything they do." Ecclesiastes 4:9  "Every good and perfect gift is from God." James 1:17  "Blessed are the pure in heart for they will see God."  Matthew 5:8  "If it's possible as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone." Romans 12:18  "For God so loved the world so much, that He gave His one and only Son. " John 3:16 "Be kind and loving to each other." Ephesians 4:32
- You love to play outside.  You like to ride your tricycle, go for a run, or go to the park.
- You are still very small.  I think you weigh 26 pounds.  We'll know for sure in a few weeks.  You need 3T length pants, but they all fall down... all your 12-18 month pants & shorts still fit around your waist.... finding clothes to fit you has been a challenge because you are tall, but just small. :)
- You still like to push the limits.  We have to be consistent in our discipline with you because it seems you always want to try to push the limits.
- I think you are potty trained.  Think. We still wear diapers at night and during naps just in case (occasionally you'll have an accident in naps and most mornings you still wake up wet).  You have over the last month been telling us when you need to "poop" on the potty-- which is HUGE!  You have only had 2 accidents in your panties in the last month.  Yeah!  (It's only taken us a year...)
- You still take about a 2 hour afternoon nap every day.  You wake up about 8:00am and go to bed somewhere between 8:30 and 9:15.
- You LOVE to say "hello" to ALL our neighbors.  If someone is outside you are not only going to say "hello," but start a conversation with them.
- You are a people watcher.  If there are too many people on the playground  you will just sit back and watch instead of playing.
- Your interview was pretty accurate.  You love Mary Poppins, Curious George, Tinkerbell, Cinderella, Fancy Nancy, purple, and baby dolls..... oh, and did I mention you really like snakes?  What?  :)

My precious Kennedie, my heart feels like it might explode when I think about how much I love you.  You are such a fun and sweet girl!  I love how friendly you are and how much you like to sit back and watch everything.  I love that you get excited about some of the smallest things and how "curious" you are about everything.  You are very sympathetic and don't want anyone to hurt or be sad.  You are an animal lover and a little Mommy in the making.  I love watching you care for your babies.  You have captured my heart in so many ways and you continue to teach me about the Father's love and grace daily.  My prayer for you is that you will grow up to love, follow, and serve Jesus.  I pray that HE will captivate you more than anything else in this world.  I love you to the moon and back- big, big, big!
