Easter 2013

We had such a blessed Easter this year!  It was a wonderful weekend full of family & lots of love!  Thursday night started out our fun weekend when Kristal, Braxton, Cason, and Mikalie all came into town & stayed the night with us!  The girls stayed up late playing with their cousins & they thought that was awesome!

On Friday night Braxton participated in LTC (Leadership Training for Christ) and Cason & Mikalie hung out with us and died Easter eggs.  Kennedie is REALLY into purple right now, and so she of course had to die all of her eggs purple... even if that meant waiting 5 or 10 minutes on someone else's egg to finish.  There was no sticking her egg in another color.  The girl was very patient-- it tells you how much she likes purple!

Then on Saturday after we visited some of our teens at LTC we headed to Lantz's dad's house where we enjoyed a nice dinner together & the kids played outside with confetti eggs.

Cousins & step cousins

Sunday morning the Easer bunny left some fun surprises for the girls.  However did he know that we are really into Curious George and Fancy Nancy?:

Then we got all dressed up in our matching Easter attire for Sunday worship... our color choice this year was turquoise, pink, and white.  We had a Sonrise service that was moved inside due to the rain.  Lantz spoke.  He did an AWESOME job!  I was so proud.  He talked about the resurrection & about it being good news, and the urgency of sharing the gospel.  He correlated it with the urgency of the Pony Express.  Then our church had a cinnamon roll breakfast followed by another service.

After worship we met my mom so she could snap a picture of us like last year.  (Our plan is to take a picture in the same spot each year to see how our family has changed.)

Here is this year (2013):

And here we are last year (2012):

We then headed out to my parents house to celebrate.  We enjoyed lunch with Cowboy & Bee, Momma Jean & Poppa, Aunt Cheryl, Colton, and Mikala.  After lunch Kennedie and Sawyer enjoyed hunting eggs.  Sawyer got two, but it was so fun to watch Kennedie this year.  She really got into it.

We are beyond thankful that Jesus died & rose for us!  We are blessed!
