Symphony

Saturday night Lantz and I got the opportunity to go to the Las Vegas Philharmonic Symphony. Our good friends Steve and Vanessa gave us tickets because they were going to be out of town. It was a very neat experience. I have never been to a symphony before, so now I can say that I officially have gone. They played & sang songs for Evita, Hello Dolly, and Les Miserables-- very talented people.

It was a fun/funny night with a few silly circumstances. One funny was pictures. We took a picture of ourselves before we went out because we haven't taken one together in a few months. It was quit the experience..... we had to line it up and do the self timer. We took like 10 before we got the final product. I thought I'd share a few of the "practice settings" with you. Ha! (You can see my belly mid-week and not have to wait until Thursday.) This was a huge ordeal that took way too much time considering we were running late.

Lantz lining up the picture, so one of just me:

We thought it was lined up, and it was for me- just not for my 6'4" husband:
And finally (keep in mind 10 photos later) we ended up with this one:

Okay, so funny #2.... you know how I said we were running late? Yeah well, we rushed and scarfed down our dinner to get there by 6:00.... yea... we showed up and the doors were locked and no one was around. We were worried we had the wrong night, so we pulled out the tickets, and it was the right night, just the wrong time! Ha! It didn't start until 8:00!!! So, it turns out all that rushing and scarfing was just not necessary. So, we went to Barnes & Noble got some coffee and read some magazines until time to go back up to the theater.

It was a very fun a memorable night, and I feel so blessed that our friends thought of us to share their tickets.

  1. I haven't been to the symphony in a few years. We used to go with my family every Christmas and I always loved it.

    Those pictures were pretty funny!!
